Comic Cover Series: As a photographer and digital artist, I wanted to create a process that would combine both mediums. Many of the works in this collection focus on bridging the gaps between photography and drawing. I decided to create comic book covers because many of the movies and shows I love have comics. In my creation process I first begin with an idea, a genre or theme, I inform my ideas by looking at old comics.  Next, I would go on to do a photoshoot with the general layout of the cover in mind. After I picked the photograph to use on the cover, I went through a process of creating the linework in Photoshop, editing in detail, and picking colors. Finally, I put a weathered texture over the entire image because I wanted it to feel as if it had gone through a real comic print process and had aged with time.
