At first the central idea of my artwork was an interest in reflections. That started after I really liked a painting of a sink that I had done in the past. I decided to continue painting sinks and reflections, but I wasn't fully sure as to what attracted me. After a while it kicked in that sinks are things we interact with every day and bathrooms and kitchens are rooms we go into more often than not, yet we never really consider how important or necessary these rooms are. When I realized that I decided that I wanted to paint these rooms but add something to make them more interesting. I have always been attracted to mythology, mystery, and the fantasy side of imagination, which drew me to adding ghosts and night skies with full moons. I think it just makes it interesting to combine two things that are not usually put together.
