The concept of my capstone is to make a series of comic covers demonstrating a story to the audience without giving them any more context than the cover – contradicting the common phrase of “never judge a book by its cover”. Additionally I wish to create characters that represent minority groups and challenge traditional gender roles. The concept of Lola Roja is based off the classic “Bond Girl”, but, instead of placing her in the part of a supporting role, she and her feminine quirks take center stage.
