This year’s work centers on making visual responses to my environment and previous work. Primarily they are responses to my immediate surroundings; the room I have spent a year in, the backyard I wander around, the photos that clog my camera roll, and my own physical appearance. Because of my fairly random way of drawing inspiration and working through each piece, I try to use pattern as a way to unify the work.
