…I feel I have unlocked what artists have sought after for years; having my subconscious speak for itself.
The focus on my work, and how I go about producing it, is no focus. When I sit down to create, my inspiration and goal is driven not by any kind of doctrine or creative motif, but where my pencil and my heart lead me when I sit down to draw. I then enlarge and fully flesh it out until I feel the feeling/imagery I wanted to convey is conveyed. By doing this process, I feel I have unlocked what artists have sought after for years; having my subconscious speak for itself. By putting down the first things that come to mind without hesitation as I draw, I feel my work garners an ability to speak for itself better than I could Inspired by free-thinking artists like Pablo Picasso, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Wassily Kandinsky, I pursue a link to art history that serves to encompass my worldview and the time I live in.
