LOWER SCHOOL ART: TRANSFORMATIONS

Welcome to the Lower School Art Studio! We’re glad to have you visit our virtual art show.

Transformations is an opportunity to showcase selected artworks made by Forms 1-5 artists next to their older peers in Middle and Upper School. As you’re about to see, play transforms into creative visions in Lower School Art. When we experiment and play, we tend to get a lot of “AHA!” moments. Ideas transform to sketches. 2D shapes become 3D forms. Sculptures are photographed in our homes, turning our everyday spaces into galleries. Some students went so far to learn the basics of animation with clay forms and a camera.

All of these artworks were created in Fall 2020 with on-campus and remote learners. In a way, creating and sharing our artwork virtually is a way to bring us together.
